A drive by shitpost is when you are browsing the federated timeline and see someone saying something incredibly gay or retarded and say so. You leave without listening to any response and just ignore the thread.

There are times when people are so famous / popular that if they reply to even one "normie", suddenly everyone will think they can get a reply / gain clout off you. So they ignore the masses, just drive by, plop down a golden nugget of wisdom, and speed off.
I;E - the entirety of cuckservative twitter, and the entirety of liberal faggots on tiktok
