   Remember I was disappointed because my usual anime convention hotel was like double the rate than usual? Well it looks like the discount is back, and I was able to call and get the room again for half the price I was supposed to get!

     @lanodan I think they really overshot their prices. I was not happy at 700$ CAD last year (without con discount) and it was about to be 1000$ this year, but suddenly, they appeared on the con hotel page with a discount totalling to 500$ instead

     Reminds me that on going back from czechia I got stuck in Paris for one night due to a late flight and the hotel for just one night (~160€) was about the price of the 4 days I spent there.

     @coolboymew @lanodan my first year at AX, I was at the fucking Biltmore for only about $700 for five nights (after conversion), place is normally like US $250 per night
     
     Of course next year they didn't offer rates there again and I ended up at some motel 30 mins away on foot in the LA heat. But it was only about $150/night there

     @coolboymew Actual hotel is like 14€/night in Saint Nazaire and in an actual room.
     the dorm room with a bed I paid in prague was 20€ for ~4 nights.
