     One of those “no shit man, didn’t believe it until I saw it” things they tell you in med school is that babies supposedly bounce when dropped from height. That cartilage is pretty wiggly, supposedly.

     Don’t quite buy it but our guy swore by it

     I just find it adorable how she hears something and infers a completely wrong track from there, like her tiny little 1.2 ghz Pentium spun away for 5 minutes to say “ah….babies are made out of jelly, that’s why they require such care”

     Of course, women are equipped with a GPU that men lack, specifically for processing interpersonal relations. Men have an integrated GPU, which leaves us at a disadvantage in building tribes and coalitions across people who hate each other’s guts.

     @Royper Depends, if it’s a known kit w/ good provenance like a VANs then they can sell easy enough. It’s kind of hard to screw up in a way that’s not found via inspection in order to get them flown. I knew one guy who built an old warbird rep from some older plans, ended up dying when the wing came off on one of his early test flights when he pushed it too hard (probably over G’d, it was wood/rag).

     There’s a common thing where the wife doesn’t even know the plane exists, knew a guy who made his money looking for old, unattended stuff parked at small airports and tracking down the rightful owners, lowballing them, and taking the problem off their hands. Restoration on a $10,000 piper or cessna would cost about $25-35k, then he’d make $10-15k on top of it if he did good work.

     Maybe it’s just that I’m working in the scene more but the exp crowd is energized, lots of money changing hands. It’s pretty impressive now, you can get 6-person bush planes w/ turboprops and 250-mph retractables with pretty streamlined plans. And you can actually work on a lot of it yourself since you’re the builder. I really like how it weeds out shitskins and retards, too.

     A part of me wants to just get something like this and live in it, work as smugglers or couriers or whatever.
