@djsumdog@chjara@nyx openbsd is way better than it used to be and honestly it wasn't even that bad many years ago if you followed the rules (main one: do your homework before asking a question)
A friend told me a story about how he once wrote a OpenBSD patch to work on a piece of shit single board computer and Theo helped him port it. Then when he decided to try submitting it Theo rejected it and made some comment about how the people who designed the SBC deserve to suffer for making a total piece of crap and how the patch was shit as a result, to paraphrase what I remember telling me.
Also OpenBSD: there's a port to a Motorola 88k workstation where only a handful still exist; because of one guy in Japan doing the port.
