   my enemy, a (((shylock))) vizier is transporting gold in the Empire

   gold that could be righteously used for funding my organization and defeating the undead raiders and overthrowing the governor (I don’t like him because he’s fat and lazy)

   organized banditry is a very profitable career especially when you can’t get prosecuted for being a hero AND a noblechad (the banditry just makes me more heroic)

   outnumbered, the caravan guard have pikes and crossbowmen, well-prepared, my retainers are mostly just peasants I’ve conscripted with platitudes of “gold” and “honor”

   all of it is true, of course

     to give you an idea of how bad of an idea this is, my guys have leather / chainmail armor, the guards are all in light plate

     all I understand is CHARGE

     downhill lance charge in the snow

     me and my horse are wearing thick plate armor, basically a medieval freight train

     completely obliterate 3 guards and 1 merchant by running them over

     skewer two guards with a lance charge

     already 1/6th of their forces are dead

     surprise round ends

     ditch the lance, pull out the zweihander, proceed to decapitate two men as it turns into another round, letting out an inspirational cry

     my retainers join the melee, and absolutely obliterate the guards, don’t even lose a man as I gain 11 kills

     Machismo repeated this.
