   Javanese script ꧌ ꦲꦏ꧀ꦱꦫ ꦗꦮ ꧌ looks fucking ugly on computer screens. I don’t know about Unicode but the characters too fat and wide, making them unreadable unless I zoom in very close. Not to mention, they are written in scriptio continua. Javanese niggas should use pangkon ꧌ ꦥꦔ꧀ꦏꦤ꧀ ꧌ mid-sentence as word dividers and maybe whitespaces to make the writings looks less ugly.

     @niko@jir.moe that's why it is supposed to be written in scriptio continua. that makes the script use less pangkon. yes still pretty much unreadable for foreign eyes

     ꧌ ꦩꦻꦴ ꧍ ends with a diphtong. It reads as /maw/. The word "mau" should be a two-syllables word (maybe something like /ma·u/). So it should be written as ꧌ ꦩꦲꦸ ꧍, or ꧌ ꦩꦈ ꧍ if you use the rather archaic aksara swara.

     @pinetree From what I get after reading a 2003 guide, the only requirement for swara is if it’s a syllable. But the guide only uses swara to give emphasis or write foreign words (u in neutron, a and u in aula, etc). "Mau" is a common Javanese word, so maybe normal people would avoid using swara. But you know what? Fuck it bro. Let's be practical. I want to use the writing system, not worship it :ElainaSip:
