CayhrFriend got me to try the game half for the meme, half for the waifu. But now it's time to uninstall after just 2 hours (1 hour, yesterday and today) dicking around :kekw: . Surprisingly, the combat feels like NieR Automata, especially with the bullet time perfect dodging. I wish this game didn't exist, so I wasn't sad over the lost potential.
Like every other gacha, it's fun for a bit, then it's just whatever. Becomes a chore and I just can't care enough to log in anymore :konata_yawn: . Though, it has a hell of a lot more gameplay than the rest.
I will say, it's a gold mine for the skin selling strategy, similar to League of Legends. I guess all the other aggressive gacha is there too.
@Cayhr Yeah, I've lost my taste for Gacha too. They all eventually reach a point where you're not playing it because it's fun, but because if you don't do the chores needed to progress new characters will be unusable and the game will eventually chew on you.
@Cayhr The best remedy for FOMO is gacha games. I "play" Puzzle & Dragons, but lately I have a hard time even login daily, I like the core gameplay, but the game has become bloated in timed/gated events and some extra gameplay modes and mechanics that now it repulses me.
@kamehamic Absolutely agreed. Though, I got over the whole FOMO thing even before gachas. It was a bit before I graduated university, and I just did not care to keep up with all my friends on a fighting game. At some point I stopped playing with them, stopped going to tourneys, and dedicated my time to learning and improving the skills I wanted. Even better, playing the games I cared more about. It translated to the gacha craze as well as everything else that preyed on FOMO.
I'm always willing to try games, but it depends on how much time I'm going to spend on them and whether my dollar is going to fund something I disapprove of. Fortunately, most gachas are free to just see how they do things. Like I said in the OP, Action Taimanin has some solid action mechanics. Simple, but they are there, and it could translate to a proper title. If anything, my disappointment for gachas is motivation and research for my own projects.

Me with SiNOAlice. This should have been a visual novel IMO. Great fucked up characters, a great premise. It could have been right up there with Saya no Uta. Sadly its a gaccha with horrible boring pointless combat you have to slog through. Everything feels like a waste in this game.
Then again Yoko Taro did once say he wanted to make a gaccha game that was awful to play. :noa_disgust:
@Tamamo The same friend that told me to try out Action Taimanin shares the same sentiment, but he told me: Yeah, it's sad, but instead use it as inspiration or motivation for your own projects. There's really not much one can do.. I ended up telling that to @kamehamic in my response to him (https://varishangout.net/notice/AXIcWx2IgoF38InGzY).
