pine (pinetree@misskey.id)'s status on Monday, 03-Jul-2023 08:27:00 JST pine @niko@jir.moe i draw my inspiration from southern brahmic scripts (according to wikipedia), especially kawi and its child systems. so far i only used it for indonesian (and it's probably compatible with many other indonesian languages) because it still has a lot of limitations and conlanging is a little bit to much for me to handle.

Unfortunately the Indon language doesn’t have its own writing system and it makes me sad. Maybe it’s possible to incorporate Jawi in Indon (like how the Malays used to do) but I don’t really like right-to-left direction. I want to use Javanese script but it’s a chaotic mess in my terminal and it looks ugly in computer screens in general. Currently, in my system, I can type basic Javanese scripts using a modifier key. For example, ꧌ ꦲꦏꦸ ꦱꦼꦤꦼꦔ꧀ ꦔꦕꦏ꧀ ꧌ I used pangkon mid-sentence because I don’t know where to map the pasangan yet.
