   I want a product that is two ethernet ports linked by a foot of extremely thin ribbon cable to run through the top of doors. Some of us rent and can't put holes in ceilings and shit.

     Under $10 for a 30 foot cable. Pretty thin and CAT 6 rated. The 100 foot version is a bit over $10.

     @Sophistifunk try a tplink powerline adapter. I have used one for years now for gaming, torrents, etc and I don't notice a difference compared to a straight ethernet cord.

     @Circuit_deCrap @Pnakp I’ve used EoP before it’s not for me. And as a renter I am *always* stuck in a house with shit wiring, and too-few, overloaded circuits. I’ve lost two monitors to this current shithole already.

     As long as they are on the same circuit they go great.

     Interesting note on them, they will stop working if there is a problem with the electric network nearby, and Energex send out the signal to stop solar exporting to the grid.
     This signal disrupts the connection of the adapters so they stop working (syncing).

     It looks similar to what I had suggested. Of course the price is higher in dollaridoos.

     My search phrase by the way was
     cat 6 flat ethernet cable 100 ft
     I had to scroll down a bit to find this one.

     PS: It says I can't buy it in the US as well.

     @mhjohnson i don’t want a long weird cable I want to use normal “cheap” cable for most of the run and the expensive nice product for as little as possible.
