   If the totalitarian ideologies of the 20th Century erred in trying to immanentize the eschaton as a result of their materialism, Americanized liberal democracy concluded that the way to correct this error is to obliterate the very idea of the eschaton. Objective standards of the divine, of right and wrong, of higher meaning and purpose, of the ideas of beauty and truth even, these are the things globohomo abhors most and identifies as "nazi." Idealism causes people to do radical and dangerous things, we must instead celebrate anti-ideals and anti-aesthetics as part of the process of democratization and slowly settle into the End of History.

     @hachi Autistic effortposts like this are more my way of getting out and recording my thoughts in some context. This particular one I honestly think is well-written and to the point. Sometimes my stuff can be bloated and repetitive, but I think this one makes its point well.
