@Granwalder the big leash the fed has, has been federal dollars. They used to withhold highway dollars from texas, I think, because of not following some stupid federal law I think on highway speeds.
The progression could look like this:
- states ignore feds
- fed blocks money
- states take fed to scotus, something maybe about can't single out a state for not receiving tax money.
- probably lose, then just tell citizens to remit fed tax dollars to state.
- fun times
-
If a State wants to get a head start on this, they could require all businesses within that state to remit federal tax dollars to the State Treasury, which then forwards the money to the federals.
This is a threat, because the State could at a moments notice, for any reason at all, just stop forwarding the money and use it benefit the State.

You will see an evolution to this when other states see people doing it and decide to do it themselves.
Then the next move is for one of them to pull the cord and actually arrest a FBI agent.
Then the FBI does a gayop as revenge, but when against an entire state that has enough resources to pull a halfass plot to pieces .. that's when it gets intersting.

@sickburnbro would be nice to see states wrangel back power

seems like the "we cant trust the feds" has really seeped into state-wide conservative conversation.
Should be interesting.
