     I had that moment 3 years ago, installed debian, one year later switched to endeavouros ("easy" arch btw) and I'll probably stay.
     Each one has it's cons and pros, but if you install debian stable (or anything based on it) and "stable" is too "outdated" for you, I recomend switching to a rolling release like arch.
     The issue with debian/ubuntu based distros tend to have outdated packages, even in unstable/sid, so you have to circumvent the package manager (bad) and add repos or install/update/mantain manually, arch is not perfect but it's way ahead of debian/ubuntu (mostly thanks to the aur). Also pacman > apt.
