   It really makes me sad, mad and frustrated that I cannot play anything Japanese until I have learned enough of the language because every fucking translated game is full of bullshit.

   I had never seen a group of people more disrespectful than the gringo translators. Even if the game is from 10 years ago the translation is just a rewrite because for some reason no one has the right to consume Japanese stuff being Japanese lol.

   And I cannot play any Spanish patch because they tend to use the English script for they translations. They translate the script to perfection of course, because it seems that the only un-translatable language is Japanese.

   I just want something to spend the day and relax, but instead I need to keep studying even if I’m tired so I can learn the language faster.

     @Vidmastereon @Alt_Name Not just some, all of them. No English subs on your anime either. All time you spend with Japanese media should be fully in Japanese
     Only then will you see some progress. You wanna be able to watch anime completely raw? Start doing it then
     Wanna play your games in Japanese no problem? Start playing them in Japanese then
     Of course some basic vocabulary and grammar is necessary before jumping straight in but doing nothing but Anki or whatever for a year or two is a waste of time. Words stick better if you learn them with concrete examples from media you enjoy
     That's how I do it anyway, and I've had great success

     Switch some games you play that you know already into japanese
     I do it with stuff like factorio
