Redlist me on why Taiwan is the only place that makes the cutting edge microchips.
Is there any physical advantage in such location? (Weather, port, type of water, etc)
Or is it just the place Gay Empire designated to replace Whitey in that industrial sector?

@MechaSilvio because the taiwanese had a virtual monopoly on packaging for chips, which is a low margin but highly technical process so they built up a big pool of skilled labor
then when they started on chip fabrication their government gave them lots of money and they built large complexes so chips could be fabbed then packaged right in the same place in a nice vertically integrated little industrial zone
taiwan doesn't design the best chips (although they are investing and making strides in that direction) but if you want a high end chip you've designed fabbed, then assembled onto a board and made into a usable component there is nowhere cheaper, faster or better
