   Interestingly a HN post mentioned Kiwi Farms users using a private fedi search engine and how they'd use it. It's also worth noting that even the Akkoma guys at the very least don't see it the same way. In fact, the Akkoma project page talks about "Elasticsearch and Meilisearch support for search".

     Well put it this way; Mastodon won't add quote posts when Pleroma/Misskey either add it in directly or at least embed posts you link.

     Also never abuse hashtags unless you want people to find your post.
     
     Certain instances have people who abuse searching them to find people to argue with on a Friday night (chudbuds comes to mind).
