If I had my druthers, I'd actually want the kids of rich assholes to die before their parents because they represent the next generation of rich assholes.

@caekislove @c To be fair, @jeffcliff thinks the most onerous restrictions from every country's response, combined and into perpetuity, would be a good system.
But he's morbidly obese and eats ass. So... 🤷🏻♂️

@Nou @c @jeffcliff Did you just tag in Jeff Cliff to a COVID discussion? You absolute mad lad!

@caekislove @c A very important distinction to to make is also what exactly falls under the umbrella of universal coverage.
A system where the state acts as insurance provider vs one where all Healthcare workers are civil servants/government contractors are very, very different in function.

@Nou @c Healthcare in general is a lot like COVID. Everyone agrees that their country "screwed up" in responding to COVID, but nobody can point to an example of a country that "did COVID right", except idiots who believe that only 6,000 people in China died and Xi doesn't look anything like Winnie the pooh.
If somebody somewhere implements healthcare "that works" at scale, we should look at that. Until then, status quo will (and probably should) prevail.

@c I used to be a free healthcare guy. Then COVID happened and I saw all of my fellow free healthcare guys saying shit like "If this person doesn't get the vax/votes for trump/is White then hospitals should deny them treatment!" and realized that if healthcare was run by the government, shitlibs would instantly turn it into a weapon against their myriad political enemies.

The free healthcare crowd pisses me off so much. None of them seem to give a shit about fixing the roots of the cause. They're the same thing as reparations niggers and their simps.
