   So, I have Windows installed on a disk. I hate having to restart and boot into Windows to do some stuff
   
   Is it even possible to take that installation and boot it in a VM without having to do virtual disk shenanigans?

     @coolboymew was thinking you could just create a virtual machine and direct its optical media / iso route to the disk but it's an actual install, not a live CD.
     So no idea :cirno_no_work:

     @coolboymew looks like it's possible with raw qemu at least https://superuser.com/a/1504550 I imagine things that build on top of qemu would offer support for this kind of stuff too
