   @pinemarten @sickburnbro The issue with that is that it's never going to happen. July 4th and very other countries equivalent = Fun in most people's head. There's probably a day off, actual celebrations, fireworks, singing, etc
   
   Juneteenth on the other hand is a virtue signaling fest that's no fun for anyone. They could make it a mandatory holiday and it will never truly be a "thing" (Just like that one Irish holiday in Canada. Nobody gives a fuck) unless they make it fun, which they won't, because it goes against the virtue signaling

     I’ve felt for a while that Juneteenth will replace July 4, and a new holiday like “Day of Racial Atonement” on George Floyd’s birthday or something will be created.
