Reddit is a shit site by design, the upvote/downvote system, combined with reducing visibility of downvoted comments and threads, is just pure cancer. Everything about it incentivizes people to heave as closely as possible to a cucked consensus, while the opinions of faggots and retards (in the form of upvotes/downvotes) are cited as objective "proof" that a debate has been won or lost.
Bonus points for pretending to be bold and independent thinkers, while crafting the safest, most inoffensive posts possible that desperately fish for upboats.

@ChristiJunior Also it's controlled by a bunch of fat men in skirts who ban you for expressing any opinion to the right of Stalin.

And as bad as the average Redditor is, the average Reddit Mod is far worse. The Mods are ALWAYS worse than the overall community, it's the like faggiest, most dick-addicted midwit cucks always rise to the top on that site. Even before KotakuInAction turned into controlled opposition, it had multiple SJW mods (including the admin Hatman, who was friends with Brianna Wu/John Flynt), like obvious infiltrator nodeworx.
Gee, I sure wonder why KiA ended up blacklisting Breitbart, literally the best and most reliable supporter of the #GamerGate consumer revolt....

I also remember the Mods of the Xenoblade subreddit trying to ban "fanservice"/"ecchi" posts (so basically, any non-censored art of the likes of Pyra, Mythra, Brighid, Dahlia, hell, fucking Meyneth....), because.....they were too popular, and too many people were posting such art?
...yeah, actively wanting to ban content for being popular with the userbase is a big Reddit Mod thing (KotakuInAction banned anti-SJW content for this very reason, because it was popular, and because a lot of people were posting it). At least on the Xenoblade subreddit the Mods were beaten back, but holy shit, the fact that such a thing was even proposed tells you what kind of subhumans Reddit Mods are.

@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior The skirted fat men are the jannies getting jannied right now. Reddit will still suck regardless.
-
@RupertvonRipp @ChristiJunior Yes, but it's still fucking funny to see the jannies get jannied while they pretend like they're a necessary and important part of the site as opposed to purely negative entities.
-
@ChristiJunior What's worse is that the up/downvote cancer has spread to other sites. Even though plebbit by no means created it (Slashdot might've been patient zero?), they did popularize it.

@ChristiJunior The thing with modern Reddit is that it inverted the very foundational principles of the original Reddit.
Originally, Reddit was supposed to be a cluster of __independently managed__ communities with no oversight from Reddit i.e. self-moderated decentralized communities , sort of a anarcho-libertarian-ish idea. Modern Reddit, specially after the Chaiman Pao era, is exactly the opposite, in which Reddit bans subreddits than doesn't tow to the progressive narrative ( TheDonald, MGTOW, GenderCritical, etc ) and goes as far as imposing super-mods to the given community ( instead of just self-moderating without meddling from Reddit), which most of them are crazy deranged trannies ( it's goes as far as the fact that TwoXChromosomes is basically now almost exclusively moderated by troons ).
