   @jeremy @aral I disagree with the "instance of one" approach, because I’ve seen how much stronger the bittorrent approach got by having shared infrastructure with forums and moderators.

   That shared infrastructure forms a more resilient social fabric than the atomized structure created by the more distributed p2p networks.

     @aral I’m also continuing to work on Freenet / Hyphanet which basically runs "nodes of one", too 🙂 — it’s just that I’m not sure whether that’s actually the best™ approach — and you know: you can’t do a good thing, if it’s not the best™, right? ;-)

     (just to not be misunderstood: you totally can, and the notion whats the best may not actually be right, and we’ll only find out when we try to make the approach as good as we can)
