Niclas Hedhman (niclas@angrytoday.com)'s status on Sunday, 18-Jun-2023 19:26:55 JST Niclas Hedhman If "corporations" (which is also a "protection by State for some people") didn't exist, the State didn't exist, and only People existed, and individual people are responsible for everything done, then a) hard to imagine what the outcome is, b) I think large business ventures can't survive, because of getting more and more expensive overhead.
My starting point is not "free market will rule", but Initiation of Force is immoral and that I own the fruit of my own labor. A Moral Issue.

1. Large corporations incite the State to create regulation (higher barrier to enter, more staff required to handle licensing, certifications, bookkeeping/audit) leading to bigger overhead to get going.2. The State subsidize enormously. Check how much preferential treatment that has gone to Amazon, how many dollars have been given to Elon Musk, how much to big banks, ++
3. Copyright and Patents is protection by State for the large corporations.

Seriously, what do you guys think happens when two or more companies compete and one manages to come ahead? Bigger companies will always crush smaller one due to sheer scale effect and mass production. If anything, regukation can be the only thing helping keeping small buisnesses afloat (like in italy)

When you suffocate free/small enterprise with bureaucracy, regulation and taxation, then it shouldn't be surprising. It went downhill so massively that 20-30 years later the ruling elite needed women to join the work force to collect more taxes.

Niclas Hedhman (niclas@angrytoday.com)'s status on Wednesday, 21-Jun-2023 23:41:50 JST Niclas Hedhman Yes but @moffintosh already pointed out "adjusted for inflation".
BUT I suspect that the official "adjustment for inflation" is not accurate, or should I say "massaged" to show it isn't as bad as it is.
I have seen numbers around 97-98% loss of value since Federal Reserve was created, but 30-50x seems too little to me.xianc78 likes this.
