Maybe I'm just used to American discourse where people are terrified to express their true feelings in public.

@ChristiJunior @TornadoOfTerror It's definitely hyperbole.
However, there's been some drama this week about three "trans rights" bills submitted to the House of Representatives. It's hard for me to tell exactly what happened or what the details were, but one of the bills passed in amended form on June 13th. What the current commotion is about is that the "amendment" was a complete rewrite of the bill that erases trannies from the wording and instead changes it to protect women. Or something along those lines.
The Communist party is up in arms about it, and at least one feminist organization has made a statement about how terrible it is for the poor poor trannies. I'm still trying to figure it out, but all the right people are angry about it.
