   @thor A good point was made that should be followed: Make a recurring payment only via virtual card, so if these things happen, you wouldn't care once you stopped the payments. Too many companies (no to be too hard on makerspace are very hostile to customers) they'll squeeze you out of everything you got.

     Stripe has been trying to charge me 500 NOK for a maker space membership i stopped paying for in 2020.

     normally, if you stop paying, that just means you're not a member anymore. the maker space is a non-profit and mostly runs on volunteer work, so it's not like they're chasing people down for money.

     but Stripe's API for subscriptions does make that assumption.

     when i let the maker space know about the problem, they couldn't figure out how to stop it.
