   The first paragraph of that Wiki article generally refers to the criteria of what many infer is neoliberalism. I'm not trying to be more specific other than being critical of how privatization, deregulation, globalization, "free" trade, monetarism, austerity, and reductions in government spending have pathed the way for corporations to disregard their ethical and environmental responsibilities.

     I think semantics are only important so far as everyone knows what is trying to be said... beyond that its just noise.

     Look, the term has at least two meanings that are wildly contradictory. Reagan and Clinton had opposite policies when it came to economics.

     So you can't use it for criticism unless you pick one of those meanings.

     If you don't, then you wind up equating opposites. Make up your mind.

     Then instead of debating what the word means in some absolute sense it is more helpful to ask what they meant the word to mean when they used it, then youll know and it will be less headache.
