     @ArdainianRight @Remi Apparently the cast is gonna be all-White, or close to it, which would be Based. At the same time, it seems to be pandering hard to Western faggots and other people who don't appreciate JRPGs. The Xenoblade games have already taken everything of actual value from WRPGs and integrated it into a JRPG setting, any further Westernization will only hurt a game.

     @Remi @ArdainianRight So far no, based on the demo and available footage it's very japanese and feels more like a classic FF than several of its predecessors, I would say.
     I'll put it this way, if you took the same dialogue and events shown in the demo and rendered them in 16 bit sprite art it would seem like any other classic square game. Even the compositions and music cues feel pretty classic.
     
     The only thing that kind of sticks out is all the cursing. I don't particularly like the F bombs being used so liberally.
     
     But I need to emphasize that this could all change later in the game.
     
     The combat is super Japanese, extremely flashy, very simplistic - clearly made to not filter out the fujos and salarymen who love FF despite being terrible at games.

     @LittleTom @Remi @ArdainianRight I'll take slightly excessive swearing over the cucking of character moments, Tifa felt like a gym coach sometimes in FF7r because she wouldnt chastise you for acting like a sped, but in original FF7 she would do things like call you a retard if you dicked around for no reason. FF7r was more of everyone loving cloud, even barret came around to straight up liking him without many reasons
