   what's this thing with hydrogen as a climate neutral fuel or whatever. you know how hydrogen is produced? by pumping even more energy through water to electrolyze it, how do you then generate the energy to do this huh

     @chjara the main upsides of hydrogen vs batteries is that instead of mining out rare earth metal for batteries which destroy the environment and sometimes includes child labour and such; also reusability of current efficient battery chemistries is not so great. Cars could be driven by a source that can be generated easily with less human suffering. Using mostly renewables for the electrolysis process. Buut I also think it’s wishful thinking.

     @chjara also lithium based batteries has a bad habit of being skin melting long after exposure when they finally do burst in to flame.
