Adventures in bread baking: beer and oat bread.
Fortunately, I woke up a bit earlier than usual this morning so was able to (after a quick consult with Husband — “That’s ready to shape and prove right now”) bake it before walking Dog, rather than after as planned.
It’s nice and tasty, but I baked it in my jam pan hoping it would trap enough steam to replicate a nice crusty dutch oven affect. It did not, no crunch to be found :(
May have to look for a cheap earthenware casserole dish. I’m not buying a big dutch oven just for occasional crusty bread.
