   About a decade ago people had a Japanese DVD version of this show, but it was lost at BakaBT. It had much better resolution and less artefacts, than any torrent available now. I felt okay settling with this US DVD, but today I found some screenshots from the original, compared them with mine and it stung.

     @eisai Oh but is eiyuu kishi den different to the rest of it? Should I be looking for the series in general, or specifically that?

     @Zerglingman You wish to hunt this specific version? It’s the 1998 TV series, 27 episodes, distributed as a 4 disk set (1 DVD5 + 3 DVD9) or a 7 disk set (7 DVD5). Eiyuu kishi den is the sequel/alternate continuation of the story started with 1990 OVA, which had 13 episodes. With that 1990 series there’s no problems, the Japanese remastered blurays are awesome and are on the torrents.
     
     Kishi den may or may not be still available on BakaBT – I wouldn’t know because I have no one there.
