   Makes me wonder if other presidents who were ineffective at going against enemies of the people really had their hands tied or they just lacked the balls to do what had to be done.

     I think it's a little of both, honestly. Frankly, I think it's the success that scares the jews more then anything. Once other countries see El Salvador thrive they'll start doing the same thing and then oy vey it's game over for them.
     
     The best part is the gangs made it easy for the police to hunt them down since nearly all of them have tattoos and all of which are what I assume to be related to their organization.
     
     My only concern is if the US actually tried this under the current system though. I think then it would be a disaster unless they completely rebuild both law enforcement and the justice system from the ground up (or vice-versa).
