   Curious. Why didn't Da Vinci say it was the Roman Empire that ruled Britain?

     @Moto_Chagatai Because it was the Western Roman Empire that collapsed, not the Roman Empire as a whole? The Empire was reduced to its eastern Mediterranean and Levantine territories, losing all of its continental holdings, so the Roman Empire didn't collapse per se but the Continental portion of it did
     
     But it's probably just a weird choice of words :shrug:
