   I wish more people understood the issues surrounding Julian Assange. His extradition would likely be murder, although I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being reported as a suicide. He's already been tortured [psychologically] for over a decade at this point, and our government has considered assassination. To think that he should be handed over to the people who had their crimes exposed by him and that is somehow justice is peak absurdity.
   
   Sadly when I mention Assange to people (not fedi people, real people), most don't really know who he is. They recognize the name, and have heard of wikileaks, but they don't really know the relationship or the circumstances of his living status. It is reported on, but usually there is some other stupid thing that is way more click bait worthy to distract people from paying too much attention.

     @thatguyoverthere I'd rather wish that causing suffering on a grand scale had negative personal consequences. Those responsible would not have the time to indulge in torturing those that bring their evil to light.
