> Carrying a slungshot or having one on one's person is a crime in the states of California,[3] Oklahoma,[4] Massachusetts,[5] Michigan,[6] Nevada,[7] Washington,[8], Minnesota,[9] New Hampshire.[10] In March 2016, Florida repealed its longstanding first-degree misdemeanor law forbidding the carrying of a concealed slungshot.[11]-

The slungshot is a mêlée weapon. It's a ball wrapped up in a monkey's fist knot. It's similar to a club but easily made and if appropriately sized I imagine concealable. -

I only heard of it recently. It's lumped in with the switchblade in being primarily a criminals weapon I guess which led to it being banned in various places. Kind of bs if you ask me since it's just as easily a defensive weapon as an offensive one, but hey legislators gonna legislate.
I agree most people can't spell to save their lives, and English doesn't make it any easier with all of our little quirks. -
Niclas Hedhman (niclas@angrytoday.com)'s status on Friday, 09-Jun-2023 02:32:38 JST Niclas Hedhman I guess I need to improve my War English... Didn't even notice that...and even if I did, I would probably have assumed misspelling.
Actually, English is so regularly misspelled that _I_ most often assume that being the case.

Disinformation Purveyor :verified_think: (thatguyoverthere@shitposter.club)'s status on Friday, 09-Jun-2023 18:46:53 JST Disinformation Purveyor :verified_think: @niclas yeah that was why my op was "shall not be infringed". I was going to say something like everybody mad about bump stocks should be furious about the slungshot, but it's not banned federally just within a few states I guess. It still seems like infringement to me.
