     The leading candidate for prime minister in Thailand marched in Sunday's Pride parade in Bangkok, where he pledged to introduce legislation legalizing same-sex marriage and protecting transgender people's rights if elected.

     Pride month was celebrated, and gender equality was promoted with a march through central Bangkok by thousands of LGBTQIA+ persons, their allies, and political leaders.
