One is immutable and the other is deterministic and reproducible. Both have a small community and didn't take off because the main titles have a lot of support and the people dependent on it know how to use it. At present, the benifits of learning another thing does not outweigh the time and resources people are willing to spend. The same reason as why the world runs on Java 8 instead of Java 17

If it were being developed by, for example, Google, it would gain a lot of attraction and given its goals, it would become popular too
