It's just an opinion I guess, but I kind of take it seriously. I never said anyone is losing anything per se, but I do think personally identifiable information should be protected. I also don't think drivers license photos are anywhere near high enough resolution to include a retina scan. Either way, if you are fine with giving up your personal information for convenience have at it hoss, I'm not stopping you. It's not for me. Stored biometric data will be shared with governments, and it is almost inevitable that the data will likely be leaked or used internally in ways that do not serve you. -

What am I losing by giving a retina image?

I don't give one flying fuck about any apple products, I don't play vidya, and I don't plan on willingly giving my biometric data over to any corporation. -

One I was boarding a plane and they didn't ask for ID . They only wanted me to look into the camera. Privacy ended after that false flag attack in 2001.
