   When I remember how fucking anti-social and souless the average Chinaman is, the notion of a social credit score seems completely understandable to me. These people need a political system to check their inhuman, unfeeling tendencies. In a country of sociopaths, social credit scores become the best way of improving behavior short of constant corporal punishment.

     Like the credit score really isn't about "Did you praise Xi today?" It's more like "Did your wicked worm brain tell you to stop for the child crossing the road instead of running him over?"
