Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 06:37:18 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew Wow, that was a really good chain attack then, I think my highest damage ever was only like 9-11 million, and I've reached level 99. -

Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 12:02:03 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew Rex's crit rate is ridiculous, but you might actually wanna sacrifice some crit for damage, since there will be various crit-boosting effects going around anyway (like Glimmer's Art, or even a specific Duo ability, Rex + A I think). With such effects active, Rex should pretty much always crit during chain attacks even with "just" a critical hit rate in the 60s. cool_boy_mew likes this. -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 12:04:19 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior yeah, maybe. on Lv 65 I was able to get 8.5m chain damage by switching Rex with Matthew on the shadow giraffe before that Gottard bullshit. Finally beat him but compared to the 2 DLC, the super bosses are bullshit and will be an enormous pain to grind on. Is there a better way to grind?
Also missing one random contraption to make in the something desolation, no idea where it is -
Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 12:13:51 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew You got way worse superbosses ahead of you, some almost felt like Bringer of Chaos fights in terms of the bullshit they pull.
I just grinded by getting big overkills on Unique Monsters while somewhat underleveled, I got pretty good jump in levels that way.
Also, are you using the radar thingy to find collectibles? -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 12:13:51 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior Yeah I'm using the radar but absolutely nothing is popping up around that place, either it's some bullshit cave or it's some place you access from another place, but I suspect it's an ether mast for the first part of it, because there was no ? for the first part despite having an ether mast in the second part in the mushroom like elevated islands -

cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 04-Jun-2023 13:20:46 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior I checked, it was bullshit. In the ruins where you drop down for a relic, just above of the enemy base with a small tower, there's a cliff you can reach from the relic
The radar doesn't reach it somehow
Otherwise, just a few more level and glowie robert will start being able to be possible, already can actually start hitting him on lv 69 -

cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Monday, 05-Jun-2023 21:58:21 JST cool_boy_mew @Amikke you'd love this then
The super bosses on hard you basically HAVE to melt them with the chain attack, or else you get wrecked and can't level up -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 02:48:28 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior alright, after beating that dude twice, gottard stopped giving good exp and this dude is just not worth it
At lv 75 I tried brute forcing the Sea Serpent and I did it. A small chain attack because I fucked up. A bigger one but not close enough to the middle/rage as there was like 30% left. There, somehow, it built up mad fast and I got my chain attack quickly, then a break and another 22m damage and I went from lv 75 to lv 80 with the strongest exp up + 300% overkill
Probably smooth sailing from there. I'll beat it two more time and then start to see the next foe. I should probably get the few remaining collectopedia shit as I still have a few affinity move skills to upgrade -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 02:55:38 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior ooofff, lots of frustration remaining ahead I see
I just need to survive. The biggest issue is the waiting between beginning and HP close to rage, if I can manage this usually I should be able to melt them just fine
the issue is all the accessories taking the all the good slots. For glowie robert I had to put bind resist, then those brooches that increases hit % during the day, chaos memory for Matthew (cancelling = guaranteed hit) and break brooches and urrrgh
I haven't checked if the sea serpent needed the hit thing however, but it needed the break brooches and sleep resist for sure -
Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 02:55:39 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew Yeah, the Sea Serpent gives really good EXP.
The good news is that the next Superboss is a 2 for 1 deal, so you can potentially end up grinding EXP just from attempting that fight normally. The bad news is that the next Superboss is not only a 2 for 1 deal, but it's the hardest Superboss in the entire game.cool_boy_mew likes this. -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 02:56:51 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior for the rest, I have the defenders having revive accessories along with the gem speeding it up, making them almost as good as healers for reviving. This lets me survive long enough to build that chain attack -
Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 02:59:19 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew Oh yeah, giving your Defenders that revive item is incredibly useful. I love how Future Connected actually lets you buy that item for regular money, it also means money is actually useful in this game, unlike in base Xenoblade 3. cool_boy_mew likes this. -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 03:00:16 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior oh yeah, I had some much money at the end of that
But yeah, a lot of the items you need is sold by the store, except for the hit brooches, which pisses me off because all the "xenoblade wiki" online doesn't have the infos on where they're from. Useless. EIther way, I had just enough of them -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 12:46:21 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior alright, at lv 85 I tempted my chances
Divaho (Agnian) is pretty easy and the other one pretty much let me kill him without effort. Even gained a level without having any cooking on
The other one tho'? Oof. I was able to hold my own but he gets more and more aggressive, none of them seems to be breakable (or my levels too low) and I estimated that it would take me 40 mins beating him. Wtf?
Guess I'll slowly grind on the easy one -
Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 01:00:35 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew I was level 99 when I finally beat those niggers, I think they're harder than the level 100 Superboss.
I mean, you have a 2 VS 1 battle against enemies that not only can not be Broken (I never recall managing to do it either), but who hard counter every single strategy you'd usually employ to make 2 VS 1 fights doable: Focus on one boss and kill it quickly so that you can 1 v 1 the other one? The remaining Levis will go into Genocide Mode and spam party-wide insta-kill attacks.
Try bring one boss down to a sliver of health, then focus on the other one, kill that, and THEN kill the remaining one before it has time to wipe out your party? Nope, can't do that, because these bastards auto-heal, and at low health they heal at an ESPECIALLY rapid rate.
And then there's the Enraged status quickly triggering, the obnoxious terrain you're fighting on (lots of scrapheaps spread around to potentially get in the way and mess with the camera), the issue of fighting TWO giant-sized enemies...bro, that fight was MISERABLE on Hard, I'd pretty much decided to go down to Normal when I finally ended up scoring a surprise victory.cool_boy_mew likes this. -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 01:03:08 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior yeah, I can focus of Divalo and manage to kill him without angering the other (using the "focus" command), it's just that the other is an issue for now. 4 chain attacks and he was still only down like half HP before he killed me
I think I'll need 4 more levels before tackling him again at lv 85. Dude is apparently weak to ether attack, so maybe an ether based chain attack finale will do? Rex and Matt (Was able to do 22m to the sea serpent earlier) are still able to deal him like 4m last I tried -
Christi Junior (christijunior@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 01:11:18 JST Christi Junior @coolboymew You seem to have a better chain attack setup than I did, so you're definitely on the right path. I personally found that even between chain attacks, Rex Double Spinning Edge spam did enough damage to keep either of the bosses firmly on the backfoot. Yeah, he'll quickly get killed for it, but with so many Revivers, he'll quickly be back in action. cool_boy_mew likes this. -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 01:13:06 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior also people constantly dying fills up the chain attack gauge, and fast
Alright so according to gamefaqs they're indeed immune to break, so switching to Rex is actually viable and that means I can give up the break brooches for something else useful
Matt's dodging move was just too important on the sea serpent to actually be able to control another character
Hopefully it's all smooth sailing from there after -
cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 02:26:16 JST cool_boy_mew @ChristiJunior Alright, I'm able to melt Divalo nicely enough. 7-10 mins, got me from lv 85 to 89
However, you're right, the other one goes ABSOLUTELY berserk after. This sucks. Might have to whittle down Divalo then take care of the other first
