On my cooking site I call this a "Murakami meal" and as it happens, I have started re-rereading 1Q84. Last time it took me more than 5 years, so I'm interested to see how much quicker I can read now, especially when I don't look up every single word that I don't know.
I failed already: I came across an interesting kanji: 捲 meaning to fold or turn over. It is interesting because the right-hand side 卷 is an older variant of 巻 . The original radical 卩( "person kneeling") came to be replaced by 己 ("self").
