   don't know why people think 'smart devices' aren't 'hackable'. there are standards that they adhere to and you can generally control them with whatever orchestrator you want, you don't need to 'hey google' them if you don't want.

     @lain if they use zigbee, like 80% of them only work fully if you use the manufacturer's hub.

     On that note, I had it in my mind that I could write a HomeKit library for Elixir if I had enough free time. Well, wouldn't have mattered anyway because of the amount of work involved -- it uses custom crypto, so making it work required the invention of Bandit to make it possible to use Phoenix for it
