     @coolboymew Looking up discussions, it seems like the Tomy Barcode Battler, which enhanced card games that had special barcodes on them. It was only popular in Japan.

     And no, it was released "worldwide" apparently

     @coolboymew Un Barcode battler. Par contre, de mémoire, c’était noir, pas blanc. Et on pouvait aussi scanner des codes-barre des produits du supermarché avec des résultats... parfois aléatoires.
