There was some leak about it that it failed all focus tests

@coolboymew Nobody liked the original 1-2 Switch, it only sold somewhat well because it had zero competition at the Switch's launch outside of BotW, and lots of retailers forced-bundled it with the Switch, which was selling out everywhere at the time. Apparently Nintendo never realized this (I feel they usually fail to take into account outside factors determining the sales of their games).
I'm at least glad Nintendo didn't insult us by trying to hype up this piece of crap pre-release.

@coolboymew "Oh, everybody's coming over? Let me take out my fresh copy of 1-2 Switch so we can all have a fun time" said absolutely nobody. I've known many people with Wiis but no one ever put any of those games specifically made for the most normalfag of demographics, it was always Mario Party or Mario Kart that got everyone playing.

@ChristiJunior @Kerosene never had Wii Play, but it looked somewhat adequate for a game that was like what? The cost of a controller + 10$ or something?
Wii Sports was pretty cool and Resort was even cooler, no complaints here
But yeah, never played, but 1-2 Switch really, REALLY should've stayed a launch title affair

@Kerosene @coolboymew Wii Sports used to be genuinely popular, but Wii Play was only bought for the controller that came with it, and Wii Music was near-universally loathed.

@ChristiJunior @Kerosene @coolboymew I thought Wii Music was fun for about 15 minutes. It might be retarded but you can have some silly fun with it. I wouldn't pay full price for it, but it's not the worst game out there. Wii Play was only ever worth playing for the tank game.

@ChristiJunior @Kerosene It's probably just a bunch of tech demos they had laying around that they polished up, but weren't good enough for Wii Sports
The "Wii Airplane" thing and also diving I believe, were both very early shown tech demo that ended up being repurposed in Resort

@coolboymew @ChristiJunior Oh Wii Sports resort was pretty good. I really liked the archery game and how it used actual locations in the island, and flying with the shitty plane was also nice. The type of game I'd play nowadays after a long day at work if I'd just get my ass to either plug the Wii or set up the emulator.
