     according to the bitchy girls in my high school class, i didn't count as a person, so they'd just ignore me and talk girl-to-girl, with me just a few feet away from them.

     i know this, because one time, i cleared my throat and said "excuse me, i'm here, you know?"

     reply: "yes, but we don't respect you."

     i'm not kidding. they actually said that. i hadn't done anything to harm them. they were just bitchy.

     they often accuse male authors and artists of having a "male gaze" in which every sexy detail of the female lead is described, while you're kept guessing as for the male lead's apperance.

     but there is also a "female gaze"

     female writers and cartoonists will drool over things that turn them on about dreamy men too.

     my feeling is that women are every bit the dirty pigs that men are said to be.

     as a fly on the wall in high school, i overheard how girls talk when nobody else is listening.
