   i think its funny when someone is like lets be open source as a business strategy and gets vibe checked by the open source community.
   
   this inevitably ends in the corpo whining about fundamentalists ruining [their attempt to colonize the space] it for everyone.

     @icedquinn What about people selling hardware with open source software pre-installed? I think that's an ethical way to profit off of it.

     @colinsmatt11 @icedquinn ThinkPenguin does that. Whatever distro you choose to have pre-installed on the laptop you purchase, they will donate a cut of that purchase to said distro.

     @xianc78 @icedquinn I don't see anything wrong with that but supporting the software you have pre-installed would make it a more better deal.
