   mac is garbage. Can’t install updates because I left a terminal emulator open. Ok whatever I’ll close the emulator. Attempt to exit tmux - window becomes unresponsive. Try to use mac shortcuts to quit… nothing. click the icon to try and force close… nothing. try to open a new terminal emulator window so I can kill -withfire tmux… no can’t do that either

     oh ok - so when I tried to quit it popped a dialog which disabled actually exiting without hitting the dialog button, but that was hidden by the "I can't do updates" dialog. Fucking geniuses. And of course as soon as iterm exits the computer reboots without any confirmation.
     
     Have I mentioned I hate Apple?

     @mico god forbid it just not steal focus from the thing that's preventing an action for some other thing that isn't preventing said action.
     
     There is a possibility I will be able to get a linux laptop for work eventually. That'd be preferred. I don't need anything that Mac is supposedly good at anyway.

     My laugh of the day is: If you have a MacBook Pro released in 2018 or older, it doesn't come with a dedicated physical Escape key (though it is always there when you need it in the Touch Bar).
