   when you guys travel, do you use airbnb or hotels or?

     @graf When I'm in Japan I like to stay at internet cafes like popeye or manboo. So long as you abide by their rules (don't bring in pets, don't
     make a lot of noise and bother other people, don't talk on your cell phone loudly, etc.) they're a cheap place to stay (at the current rate the 24 hour pack which costs 2890 yen amounts to about 21 American dollars.) They have a shower room, toiletries, and lockers so it's possible to take a shower there and get cleaned up as well.

     @graf you will probably want a room with a reclining chair so you can lean back and sleep. This is no-frills accomodations but it's cheap, and you can bring in food and drinks from outside if you want to.

     @graf @heavens_feel Airbnb outside of america is still the best option. I had a little apartment to myself in tokyo and it was like 120 a week iirc. Also japan/first world minus europe needs to see that you have a real hotel/airbnb booked to let you in on a travel visa. If you go yeah I'm gonna just book as I go in like capsule hotels or cafes to the border guards they are gonna at minimum want to talk to you in a side room for some time.

     @heavens_feel @graf Yeah wasn't shitting on it just giving logistics as japan is one of the more stressful places to get into, compared to europe and most of the rest of asia that just lets you walk in with a passport from the west.

     @TalmudTranslator @graf Immigration seemed a little nervous about me coming over to stay with a friend but they relented when I told them I honestly/truly was going to stay at his place. And I was, and I did.
     
     If I decide to stay at an internet cafe with a reservation I'll get a printout of the arrangement when I travel to Japan.

     @graf Hotels. Bad experience with AirBNB. Hotels are much much more based.
