   I've been accused of thinking Elon Musk "isn't any better than me". You know what? Guilty. I don't think Musk is better than me. I don't think Musk is better than pretty much anyone I know IRL, even the neighbor on the corner who is a petty asshole and a snitch. That neighbor isn't directly responsible for a bunch of deaths using technology he swore was "safe", after all. Not as far as I know anyway.
   
   For some reason people like to give Musk-like figures a pass on all their shitty deeds, because not *everything* they do is actively evil. But he's like a dark caricature of a robber baron of old, with all the rapacious tendency and lack of care for those he steps on, and little to none of the guilt.
