     There was a time when, after the community voted on the game moving over from Unity to Unreal Engine 4, the devs got a funny idea in their heads to try to do new everything, completely reimagining the design and art direction. Only to be hit with community backlash and to be explicitly told that what was wanted was a faithful remake of the original game with more modern graphics and more modern controls. The devs apologized profusely for this change in direction and got back on track with the original vision.
     
     I backed this game on kickstarter under another name, and I'm glad it's faithful to the original. To all the "journos" whining about it being "too faithful" to the original, there is only one correct response: Fuck You, Journos.
     
     The kickstarter backers got exactly what we crowdfunded and asked for.

     @BigDuck @lewdthewides It's fun. That's the dated game design. The game has to have a "Messaage (TM)" and feel like a massive fucken slog. Fun is just a neurological trick, after all.

     @Immahnoob @lewdthewides I tried playing the updated version of the original. It's borderline unplayable. The controls are just fucking horrible. But I've always been interested in system shock. I'm excited to play it and I'm glad they got it out finally.
