   @watson People over 60 obviously count in the projected fatality rate, which was obviously overestimated by the WHO but it's not all that far off from the early estimate of a 0.5% fatality rate made by others. 3.4% even early in the pandemic would've been an extreme worst-case scenario. Over a million Americans died of Covid, which makes it plenty noteworthy even if the deaths were largely the elderly and immunocompromised.
