   It happened because groyping works and is fun. What did the "highly literate and intelligent alt-right" actually accomplish? What does circle-jerking about Nietzsche, or Baudrillard, or the holocaust actually accomplish? Screaming racial slurs is at least fun and it makes the people who hate you uncomfortable and angry. The only attention the beard-stroking, cerebral NRx movement got was from a psych major with a semi-popular blog and camwhore girlfriend.

     @sickburnbro The best part is that it's perfectly legal with minimal repercussions for the person doing it. Finding ways to just fuck with power relentlessly is a great way for the average podcast fan to DO SOMETHING™.
