@BowsacNoodle @sickburnbro Corporate America has enough money to upgrade all their infrastructure, they just won't do it because they care about stock price more than running the company.
Nobody wants to have a meeting with their investors where they go; either you dump a huge sum of cash on this or your losses will get much worse. But that is the situation honestly.

This cannot be emphasized enough. Even holding steady on stock price means your company is, functionally, devaluing during an inflationary period. Look at AB INBEV stock for the last five years. The ≈$100 price from this time in 2018 would be worth ≈$125 today by official numbers, and probably about $150 in real world numbers.
